Terror!

Isn't it crazy how whenever anything happens in the States now, whether it be a boiler exploding or a bridge collapsing, the department of homeland security has to confirm it's not terrorism. If you ask me, I'd say the terrorists are winning.

Oh, it wasn't terrorism, well that's good, we can all rest easy now. Random bridges collapsing not due to terrorists is fine then. Americans can have a good night sleep, but probably no safer of a drive home.

Send all your best engineers and contractors (along with most of your military) to a country that you tore apart (in the name of peace)and let your own infrastructure crumble, while worrying about the possibility of an attack from people that didn't like you tearing apart that country .. ah, the new stupid power of the 21st century.

That all said, what a scary disaster, we drove through Minneapolis a month ago (i-94, not i-35 mind you) and with how many overpasses, bridges and tunnels reaching the age of failure everywhere, it's not a comforting thought. Montreal last year, Minneapolis this year, maybe we (Canada as well as the US) should start looking inward at ourselves, our culture, our infrastructure, our policies, rather than eying everybody else like they want to blow something up.
